Ever thought of volunteering for Chihuahua rescue?

Volunteer opportunities are available in a variety of areas.

• manning the YCR booth at fairs and shows
• educating the public about the 'real' Chihuahua
• transporting YCR dogs
• screening applicants via telephoning and home visits
• responding to inquirers
• following up on adoption placements
• fund raising
• maintaining records
• creating and maintaining public relations and web sites
• writing articles for our newsletter, website, etc.
• maintaining contact with shelters and other rescue groups
• monitoring shelters and notifying YCR about Chihuahuas that may be there.
• providing foster homes
• providing permanent foster homes for special need Chihuahuas
• and more.

Just a few hours can make a difference in the life of a homeless Chihuahua.

All these roles are critical to our success.
